Exercises for the neck

1- STRETCHING OF THE REAR NECK MUSCLES

From sitting position with the hands on the nape of the neck; flex gradually the head forwards for 60 seconds.

 

2- STRETCHING OF THE TRAPEZIUS MUSCLES

In sitting position, bend the head to the right by helping the movement with the right hand and, at the same time, pull downwards the left hand for 60 seconds.

Repeat the same on the other side, again for 60 seconds.

 

These exercises are useful for relaxing the neck musculature which is area often affected by tension and rigidity.It is advisable to perform the exercises under a hot shower (with the jet aimed at the specific muscle) in order to assist the local relaxing action of the water.
